Horse Breeding

Vantage Point Farm was founded with the purpose of breeding top quality sport horses who could compete successfully at the highest levels in all equestrian disciplines. Our Heritage stallions since 1992 include -
  1. Maximilan, the founding stallion of Vantage Point Farm. Hanoverian 16.1, 1979-1999. Competed in the World Cup Qualifiers in Dressage 1999. Lenore obtained her Bronze medal on Maximilian. He was a half brother to 13 competing Olympic competition horses on various teams globally, including Medallion, who competed in the 80's under Lendon Gray for the US.
Until his death in 1999, Maximilian produced many successful purebred and crossbred sport-horses while remaining a sound and successful competitor in national and international level competitions.  The tradition of fine sport horse breeding began with Maximilian.

Maximilian's Legacy (AKA - "Legs") - 1997- 2024

An outstanding 16.3 son of Maximilian out of a Domingo mare (Domingo also an Olympic competitor), "Legs" had a minimal show career due to a combination of many factors in the early 2000's. His movement and conformation combined to rank him as an elite, preferred stallion in the 2003 American Warmblood breed inspections. "Legs" produced many handsome and talented sport horse crosses.
"Legs" is now deceased.

Klaase (registered Dutch Friesian, Lincoln) - 1995-2018.

Our beautiful, Baroque Friesian stallion arrived at Vantage Point Farm in 2000. He was started under saddle, trained and shown by Lenore through 2008 at which point he retired to the farm for breeding and teaching. Klaase far outlived the average Friesian of the time (13 year average life expectancy) and was sound until his death at 23 years old due to digestive issues unrelated to colic. Klaase was granted the rank of elite stallion at the 2003 American Warmblood inspections. He also took many championship and reserves at breed shows and under saddle.

Arthur (registered Dutch Friesian Yme fan de Kooipleats) - 2015-present.

Arthur at 3 years
Arthur at 5 years
This talented young Friesian arrived at the farm in February 2019. His sire, Alert 475 (2000-2015) held the coveted "Sport" title appended to his name based on his successful competition record in dressage, combined driving and 3-day eventing (a nearly unheard-of accomplishment for a Friesian). Arthur is in training and has not yet begun his dressage show career (Covid interrupted what would have been his first show season). He is very correct in conformation, has 3 excellent gaits and a very kind disposition. He currently stands 15.3 and is continuing to grow, possibly until 8 years of age. Arthur was shown in the USDF Zone 5 breeding horse classes in 2019 where he brought home 7 ribbons, including a championship and 2 reserves Arthur has not yet begun his breeding career, but many good things are expected of him in his future performance as a dressage horse and breeding stallion.

Arthur will turn 6 years old in May 2021. He will be shown professionally this season.
